EntrepreneurshipStudent #1
This student was a high school senior hoping to go into entrepreneurship. He had a long past of volunteer work in which he helped kids create their own invention ideas and mini startups. Hoping to grow the spirit of entrepreneurship further, he came to Civic Connections.
Together, Civic Connections and the student came up with an idea for a government-recognized Certificate of Social Entrepreneurship in his hometown, a way to further validate the efforts of young entrepreneurs. The completion of a list of criteria would result in the town awarding students the certificate.
Civic Connections successfully lobbied his town council and passed a resolution recognizing the certificate’s legitimacy in January 2026.
